Child Watch and Youth Watch

Our priority is to offer a clean, safe, and healthy experience for all members. We are following guidelines from all health officials. Therefore, we need to limit capacity in our child care areas. We will be taking reservations for Child Watch and Youth Watch.

Under current guidelines, Child Watch is for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Youth Watch is for children 6-12 years of age.

Here are YMCA guidelines created to ensure an exemplary experience for you and your child.

Guidelines

– Child Watch and Youth Watch will require a reservation made online
– Reservations are for up to 2 hours within the allotted time block
– Two-hour time limit per day
– Child(ren) ages 6 weeks and older may attend
– Masks are encouraged for children ages 4 and under, 5 and older are required to wear a mask
– Food is not permitted on-site at this time
– A water bottle may be brought with the child’s name on it
– Items from home should be minimized (please leave toys and other belongings at home or in your car)
– 6-feet physical distancing between children is encouraged
– Available for members only

Infant Care:
– Staff are required to wear a mask, face, shield, and disposable smock while working with infants
– Parents are encouraged to send children in clean, unsoiled diapers as diaper changing is not permitted for staff at this time
– Parents will be alerted of bathroom needs via area check-in verification and/or cell phone
– Food is not permitted on-site at this time
– Items from home are to brought to help facilitate clean, safe, and healthy spaces for infants (blankets, plastic mats, seat coverings for Y equipment )
– 6-feet physical distancing between children is encouraged
– Available for members only

Not all locations offer Youth Watch.
