Participants focus on learning the basic Pilates core exercises to improve stability, energy and strength, set against a background of music and possibly a darkened room.
Intensity Level: Medium
Pilates 2:
Using the Pilates method of exercise, this class is designed to strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, promote flexibility and increase balance.
Intensity Level: Medium
Pilates 3:
Pilates method of exercise, also incorporating resistance tools to continue challenging the Pilates enthusiast.
Intensity Level: Medium/High
Each YMCA location creates their own schedule of group exercise classes to offer and classes are rotated to keep workouts new and fresh so members stay engaged with their routines.
