VICTORY FAMILY YMCA NEEDS

Providing a safe environment for children and teens to thrive is now more critical than ever. For over 20 years, the Victory Family YMCA has been the central hub for youth to connect, grow, and excel. The Y’s youth development programs routinely fill up within days of opening registration, and space constraints prevent us from meeting the need. Expanding and renovating our child care space will increase the quality and capacity of our program. With the community’s need for more safe places and activities for teens, a larger area will provide an opportunity to serve more teens and help prepare them for life.

The modernization of our Wellness Center will provide more opportunities for families to exercise together and more space for functional and group training, reflecting a 21st-century mindset. One benefit of the new group exercise studios and intergeneration space is increased space for seniors to connect. With enlarged spaces and more natural light, the new studios will welcome more people to engage in diverse classes to help keep our community healthy.

BUILDING OUR FUTURE PROJECT – EXPANSION

A SPACE FOR ALL

The Victory Family YMCA project focuses on expanding the usable footprint of the facility through interior renovations and expanding the exterior building frontage. In doing so, the design offers increased wellness areas and group exercise studios to provide more space and capacity to help our community grow healthier. The new design is modern and welcoming.

OPEN AND WELCOMING

The new design relocates the spaces that serve our most vulnerable populations, our children and youth. Creating a child care wing, the modern, bright renovations nest our family serving spaces together, providing an ease of use for families as they entrust their children to our care.

IMPACT BY THE NUMBERS

• 500 children attend summer camp each year
• $300K is given out through financial assistance
• 12K members are served yearly
• 275K scans are recorded annually
• 30 teens participated in Teen Leaders Club

MEET VIMAL

Vimal is a local business owner who visits the Y each morning. This is how he starts his day to help set his body and mind on the right track. His daughter, Prachi, now 17 and playing travel volleyball, visits the Y each evening to exercise and get in proper condition for her sport. He returns each evening with his 5-year-old son Raam, who plays in Youth Watch, while he gets to spend time working out and connecting with his daughter. Later, he picks up his son, and they visit the pool to swim and bond.
