TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER
For over 120 years, we have always been an organization that walks in the direction of a challenge. Today, we must focus our resources on those who need us most during this unprecedented time.
Now, the YMCA is tackling the demands faced by our friends and neighbors during the ever-changing landscape with the COVID-pandemic. In this time of uncertainty, the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas is rising to the challenge of providing critical care for essential workers’ children, partnering with American Red Cross hosting blood drives and supporting our seniors through online health resources and personal phone calls to check on their welfare.
When our youth return to their classrooms, our families return to their routines, and our businesses return to full operation, with your support we will be equipped to provide for those who need access to the services we provide from community-integrated health programs to childcare and day camp scholarships to membership.
Without donors, our capacity to provide assistance to youth and families throughout 2020 will be limited. We are creating lasting change with our services—and donors help make that possible.
